Rachel Hayes
Advocate Supervisor
Rachel graduated from Stony Brook University with a BS in business and an MBA. Then, in 2022, she began her journey into the world of child advocacy as a volunteer at Connecticut CASA. With Rachel’s background rooted in business and communications, she brought a strong understanding of the importance of a comprehensive approach to the role and immersed herself in the intricate challenges faced by these children and families. Her advocacy extended beyond legal matters, encompassing a wide range of factors. This spanned from family dynamics to the socio-economic conditions impacting their lives. In her work, she discovered a profound connection to the mission of CASA. And, this connection unveiled a true life passion. Rachel’s experience as a CASA in Connecticut led to advocating for children and families in other areas. In 2023, she joined the executive board of her local chapter of A Better Chance, a nonprofit dedicated to providing educational opportunities for underrepresented high school students of color at the nation’s top schools. That same year, she joined her town’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, becoming actively involved in the discussion and planning for affordable housing. Eager to contribute her skills and passion, Rachel is thrilled to join the Boston CASA team and honored to be supporting other volunteer advocates in this meaningful work.
