Michael Esten graduated from Boston University. His first professional experience was as a teacher for Justice Resource Institute at Boston Secure Treatment. Michael then began a 35-year career in independent school education, starting out as a teacher, coach and dorm parent. He has held a variety of administrative roles in schools including Athletic Director,Dean of Faculty and Head of School. For the past 20 years, he has worked in school fundraising as a Director of Development where he has successfully grown annual funds and managed capital campaigns. Michael was drawn to Boston CASA by its mission, and the opportunity to utilize his experience in fundraising to expand CASA’s services in Suffolk and Middlesex Counties.
