Kate Sandy is social worker with over 20 years experience in the the nonprofit field. Prior to joining Boston CASA, she was the Director of Program Operations and Evaluation at Starfinder Foundation a nationally and internationally recognized sports-based youth development organization in Philadelphia PA, and was the Program Director for a youth mentoring program at Alternative Schools Network in Chicago, IL. She is passionate about developing and supporting high quality programs for youth and young adults. Through her work in the youth development field, Kate has most recently presented at the 2018 Urban Soccer Symposium and 2019 National After School Association conferences. She was also a member of the 2019 US Delegation of a US/Pakistan Exchange where she traveled to Pakistan to work with other leaders to address gender-based violence through sports. Kate is the graduate of the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago.
