Jaylene Tiscareno
Advocate Supervisor
Jaylene Tiscareno graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work with a Human Development and Family Science minor in May 2021 from University of Nevada, Reno. Jaylene is also a recent graduate of Boston College, where she earned her Master of Social Work with a macro specialization and global practice focus in May 2023. Before joining Boston CASA, Jaylene worked with the Massachusetts Commission for the Status of Women on a variety of outreach and advocacy activities, in particular she did project management for their Girls Empowerment and Leadership Initiative as well as assisting in the conduction of community-based groups surrounding the topic of women in the workforce. During her Master program, Jaylene interned with Hagar, an organization based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where she was able to increase her cross-cultural competence surrounding community-based groups, case management and program activities when it comes to working with survivors of severe trauma. As a woman and first-generation Mexican American her passion lies in advocating for marginalized communities and uses these identities to drive her work in this field. Jaylene is excited to join the Boston CASA family!
