Lucas Brunt
Advocate Supervisor
Lucas Brunt (he/they) is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies (2020) and Boston University School of Social Work with a Master’s degree in Social Work (2022). During his Master’s program, they completed two internships: one with Allston-Brighton PAUSES, a community substance use prevention organization in Allston-Brighton, and one at Mass General Hospital’s HIV Clinic. Lucas specializes in working with LGBTQ+ young people and their families and has been working with this community in various roles since 2013. They got their start doing online volunteer peer support work when they were a part of this age demographic themselves. At the University of Connecticut, Lucas was a Resident Assistant for Gender Inclusive Housing, UConn’s LGBTQ+ specific housing community, as well as a staff member at the UConn Rainbow Center. In addition to these roles, he also co-facilitated a peer support group for transgender and non-binary students at UConn. Lucas has an incredible passion for working with young people who identify within the LGBTQ+ community and working with the people in their lives to foster acceptance, understanding, and support. Lucas is thrilled to bring his expertise and experience to the Boston CASA team and our incredible volunteers!
