Atkinson Davenport

Philanthropy and Development Manager

Atkinson’s work centers on equipping community-focused nonprofits to expand their reach and deepen their relationships through effective digital infrastructure and outreach. He has previously held communications and development roles at Family Nurturing Center of Massachusetts; Trinity Church in the City of Boston; Grace Church in St. Helena, CA; and others. As a former nanny, high school teacher, and youth chaplain, Atkinson is a passionate advocate for children and teenagers, as well as for the caregivers and communities that support them. He believes strongly that digital life is real life, which is why he turns off his phone on camping trips.

Atkinson earned a B.A. from William and Mary, an M.T.S. from Notre Dame, and an M.Div. from Yale Divinity School. His academic studies centered on the Hebrew Bible and the wider literary world in which it took shape. Outside of work, he is a writer and literary translator, a textile artist, and an enthusiastic choral singer.
